Watch: ‘Mindhunter’ season two trailer teases Charles Manson, more killers

Netflix released the first trailer for the second season of its psychological drama series “Mindhunter.”

The series follows agent Holden Ford, portrayed by out actor Jonathan Groff, agent Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and professor Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) as they work within the Behavioral Sciences Unit of the FBI to study criminal profiling and criminal psychology.

The second season appears to focus on Charles Manson and David Berkowitz (aka Son of Sam). Dennis Rader (aka the BTK Strangler) may also be focused on in the season.

In the trailer, Holden attempts to solve a new murder spree with help from Edmund Kemper (aka the Co-Ed Killer), portrayed by Cameron Britton.

“His dreams will consume him,” Kemper says of the killer. “Soon the real world won’t even compare.”

“How do we catch a fantasy, Ed?” Holden asks.

“If he’s any good, you can’t,” Kemper replies.

“Mindhunter” season two streams on Aug. 16 on Netflix.
