WASHINGTON — One guest’s anti-gay views and self-promotion were too much even for a Fox News segment, the Washington Examiner reports.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham cut short a segment on her show this week when author and Townhall columnst Arthur Schaper continually cut off Ingraham and fellow guest Jonathan Merritt, a religion writer, the Examiner and other outlets report.

“That’s not true,” Schaper said while Ingraham tried to set the stage of the segment by reading a quote from the Washington Post. “Wrong,” Schaper added as soon as Merritt tried to respond to the quote.

As he continued to cut in, Ingraham told Schaper to “hold on, hold on, Arthur, wait a second” as she finished her point, the Examiner reports.

Near the end of the six-minute segment, Schaper started holding up his book “The Health Hazards of Homosexuality.” Ingraham chastised Schaper, “Here’s one thing I don’t like on this show, when people bring props.”

“All right, I got it,” Ingraham said, rolling her eyes and cutting off both guests as it became apparent Schaper was not going to put down his book.

Ingraham brought on the guests to discuss whether or not drag queen story hour events, which was being held in various libraries and bookshops in Texas, are a good thing.
